A US-led consortium’s selected offer values MobiUz at US$351 million and includes an intention to invest up to US$500 million in telecommunications infrastructure. Legal closing remains subject to regulatory and corporate procedures.
The State Assets Management Agency selected an offer from a consortium led by McKim and Company, with JVR Enterprises acting as the sector-focused technology partner, for the acquisition of the state’s 100% interest in MobiUz. The selected proposal values the mobile operator at US$351 million.
The international process engaged more than 100 strategic and financial investors. More than 15 investors participated, ten submitted non-binding offers and six proceeded to binding bids after receiving financial and legal due-diligence materials.
The proposal also includes an intention to invest up to US$500 million in telecommunications infrastructure and implies a 7.4x EV/EBITDA multiple. Legal closing remains conditional on regulatory approvals and the completion of applicable corporate and legal procedures.
